OK got that nipple fixed today, now it has the correct 3/8" nipple. Drilled out & tapped for the 1/16" NPT to 1/8" NPT adapter & made sure it won't void the warranty (eric_cspan take a look at the pics just to make sure.) I even drilled out the adapter to a 11/64" bore from less than 1/8" bore. I would of drilled it out to 1/8" NPT but I wasn't feeling hoppy enough to try.

I'll have to take another look but it might be a rivet like or crimp like attachment. No mater what it's a multi use/fit piece for their other radiators.

Guess it's now safe to say somewhat success on the instalation as I did what I hope is the final fitting of the hoses. I trimmed about an inch off the lower hose on the rad side & should look into doing it with the upper but it's looking OK. The only thing left would be looking into sealing the gap between the shroud & core but not sure if it would really matter as I've seen alot of older cars with OE type rads with similar gaps.

Found some peel & stick 5/16" weather stripping for automotive/marine applications at the local hardware store & stuck it on today. Passenger side still has a bit of a still wide gap but the drivers side has a small gap. Might not fill the sides all the way but can't hurt to try it.

What a PITA!

I saw your reply in my build thread, and I'm about to try swapping the nipple out. Really pi$$es me off that I paid extra for this "Gbody Direct Bolt in" for extra money over a Northern or Summit 2 row and had to deal with the same headaches but would have at least saved myself some money.
