Finally got around to put the white letters on the cutlass. I like the classic look

Do the 225/70R14 rub up front? I had 215/75R14 all 4 corners. They rubbed on the inner plastic fenders on turns. A pair of 205/75R14 tires fixed it. I currently have 205/70R14 front and 225/70R14 back in the same tires on the factory 14x6 aluminum rims. Looks good. My 88 was also factory white with a white vinyl top. Also factory aluminum rims vs your SS3 rims.

When I had the 14" rally wheels on my 78 monte carlo, I always ran 225/60's - no rubbing.

I put on 245/60R14 on the front, hit the steering. I also had 235/60R14 and fit fine. It is the height that is the issue on the 215/75R14. Wheel spacers would have pushed them out enough to clear. My springs are probably sagging. I have never tried the 225/70R14 on the front, it may just clear. This is where a 1/2" shorter tire makes a difference.

Not at all. Plenty of wheel space in there!

I am thinking my front springs have sagged, that and the extra 1/2" caused contact on turns.
