Day one - got soaked, waited to get in one pass. Ran .100 over over tech legal time. SD card crapped out so no datalog, which kinda sucks. Trying to see what happenned to that presently.

At this point we are trying to survive. We can't turn in a slip faster than 11.50, so we need one pass close everyday. From the 3 runs he made on Sunday, we figured out to leave with no boost (no 2 step) and he's waiting 3 seconds to hit full throttle. Hopefully, it'll work about the same at Cecil County.

It was nice meeting Fleming and Hooptie - I'll try to get some photos attached!!

Day 2 Update:
6p this evening
20190910_180124.jpg

The roached axle seal was caused by a failed axle bearing. Investigated, confirmed problem, found the part and tools, sent Ben's daughter (came to watch) to the parts store, Ben threw a Hail Mary and made a run on the sketchy *ss bearing, picked up a tenth (12.64), had to go back to the parts store because completely wrong sh*t, broke the cross pin retainer bolt, got correct tools and parts, and fiddle****ed with the broken cross bolt for the better part of 5-6 hours. Finally got it out by welding a piece of coat hanger to the piece with jumper cables and the car battery- no sh*t; true story, bro! Last to leave the track at 6:30p, made it through the whole route with both checkpoints to the hotel at 12:30, after returning the rented axle bearing tool.
It feels good to go to bed knowing there's a good chance you might not have to bust your *ss on the car all day. ...... I said MIGHT!!
The Swede with the fastest car parked it upside down

Now that is a proper Drag Week story!

Not my daughter, not my problem.

But, I get the impression she wants the attention and notoriety from being on the international stage. So if this is the type of brand she wants to build - good for her.

Yeah, the 4runner is stupid; I have a bunch of pics but haven't had time to weed through them.
Shout out to 64nailhead for his graciousness; he dug in on the cross bolt debacle for a few minutes and offered up tools. I think the cross bolt might have scared him though. :p J/K, thanks, Jim!!!!

I had it on the run before the drill came out. You looked as if you didn’t need any help. And we were headed. I’m glad we did when we did - I had a bad plug, that I tore the top end apart to confirm all seemed well - went to bed at 1.

Ready now

For you, MHM.... Know these guys? View attachment 123114
There are a couple of 1320 editions on the tour and a crew cab Hellkitty.

That's her car, it's badass and so is she.

Nope. Don't know those guys. And there is a black Challenger HC out there too running in the mid to high 10s.
