I have a 79 regal with the astro roof. Ive seen it go from a sbo to sbc now ive been messing with a 307. I have my chilton bop rwd 75-90 book as well. This is my first build. Everything is in place and now im trying to fire it up.
My main problems are the gas lines that are running from driver side that im guessing are my supply and return . One is 3/8 and return which is small 1/4 but its longer and routes from passanger side. Also have a line on the passanger side that looks to be 3/8 or 5/16. I just got canister as well. If anyone can help me route this to the carb it would be help full. My gas sending unit has 3 lines and mechanical pump has three lines as well.
Im trying to figure if its my routing thats wrong or if my ignition switch is the cause of it all.

My 78 GMC Caballero has the fuel line entering from the passenger side and a fuel vapor return on the driver side. Quite possible that yours is the same. Hope this helps.

if your car started life with an olds motor, the 3/8 fuel supply is on the passenger side. canister is also on passenger side.
if your car started life with a chevy motor, the 3/8 fuel supply is on the passenger side. canister is on the drivers side.
i can't speak for buick or pontiac motors.

my 3.8 had it on the driver's side. one would assume pontiacs are that way too, given both have driver side fuel pumps.
