The whole Mon valley is old steel mill stuff.
Yeah my whole family worked in the mills at one time or another. My Uncle Joe Sas was a welder on night shifts and in the day had Wally and Joe's Welding on Walnut Street in McKeesport for many decades. Lots of relatives in Glassport too. They are trying to get a racetrack on Wrong Island but no one wants it in their back yard. Lots of clandestine street racing going on. No one pays attention until someone gets killed. Another reason I figured the 455 would work well with overdrive is the torque requirements for that tall a ratio. Automatic cars with overdrive don't lock up the converter until you are at speed and the engine is floating along. Otherwise these engines don't have the torque to push tall gears. A 455 can push 2:29 gears all day without breaking a sweat. With the 3:1 first I need a rear gear that will let me take off in first easily (around 10 to 1 ratio) and loaf at highway speed. 3:08 or 3:23 seem about right.

I could use a lot of those parts. Wish it was local to me.

That is a supper deal. The missing parts can be obtained from Jamie at Passon Performance. The problem is that this trans is for a Mopar. It uses the Mopar bell housing bolt pattern, input and output shafts, tail housing, front bearing retainer, etc, you get it. All would need to be changed to the GM parts for use in our cars. But the internals are the same so if you needed those then this is the deal of a lifetime.

Ive got a t56 and 2004r's. I have really no use for it. If someone wants the stuff I can grab it and ship it to them, but I don't see a time I will need it where it makes sense for me.
