Please help I got my crossmember in and I was mocking it up and the holes for the transmission mount seem to be way off centered to the right is this normal?

From what I’ve read the rear ends usually are slightly off centered to the passenger side but the crossmember seems to be way to the passenger side like I said before.

I don’t, thanks for your reply. I have acces to another frame and on that frame it seems to be fine, I measured from the inside of the frame rail to the mounting holes on the passenger side and it’s 5 inches out, on the frame I’m actually using it’s 4 inches so maybe it got hit pushed in or just normal inconsistency’s made by gm cars idk.🤷‍♂️I’ll be able to fix by just drilling the holes longer and hey I’ll get some adjustability. Thanks again!

I would do some more homework and try to correct your bent frame instead of clearancing holes. Why correct an known issue with the frame with a hack? Did you bolt the crossmember in as shown in the instructions before measuring? ....The Hooker / Holley transmission crossmember fit perfectly on my car.

Yes I even looked up other threads of people installing the crossmember to make sure I was doing it right. I measured the width and length of both frames at multiple locations and I get same measurements only difference is what I have mentioned? (I’ll add a pic of what I’m talking about) Also when I put all my suspension/rear end in it all fit perfectly fine not a single problem. But your right I’m gonna wait before I do anything until I have the engine and trans in and hopefully it fits just fine. Thanks for the help!

Yes that’s passenger side. Think all frames like this, it’s the driver side that either has or doesn’t have the 2004r frame extensions.

you're correct, I was going by memory and my excuse is my memory is so bad I forget to stop going by it...
