To all my Canadian friends, or any friends anywhere with 1980 GM cars that WERE BUILT IN CANADA...

Do you still have any semblance of door jamb decals still stuck on your door? If I could get a picture of them, that would be great. I'm trying to find one for cars built in Ste. Therese.

Not worried about condition, but the more readable it is, the better. I have a tire placard, and I have USA versions, but what I don't have, and cannot find, is specifically the Canadian 1980 model year decal. Working on a project and I need to see what I need to do.

TIA

Best I might have are on the doors from my 81 Lemans... but those are snowed/packed into the shed at the moment.

Don't attempt to unpack the snow. I'm good with 81's on the Canadian side, as I already have a couple pics of the 81's already. They use a different tire placard than 1980. Looks the same from 81-84.

But appreciate the thought.

Looking for specifically the federal safety standards decal from a 1980 made in CANADA. It MAY be the same as a 1981, and if so, great. But I don't know for sure. That's why I'm seeking a picture of one.

I have them on my 1980 442 but it was made in Lansing
Yeah, they have a different label. I have pics of USA labels. At least one difference is the Canadian version is suspected to say "MFD BY GENERAL MOTORS CANADA LTD." at the top or something like that.

EDIT to add: But they did for sure share the same tire placard label. I've just yet to see a safety standards label that has the VIN on it from a 1980 car built in Canada. They may be the same as a 1981 Canadian label. I just haven't been able to verify a part number or a visual of a 1980 label to be sure.

Got 'em. Thanks. Yep, the bottom sticker is the tire placard and that's the same on both Canadian and USA cars. But the top one is for USA-built cars as your car was built in Lansing, MI. In 1981, I know Canadian built cars had a "Canadian LTD." reference on it. I just don't know if the Canadian decal is the same as the one you have or if it has Canadian LTD. printed on it like the 81s...

Here's a pic of an 81 Canadian-built car. USA cars had "MFD. BY GENERAL MOTORS CORP."
