Looking for some help regarding the cruise control wiring on a 1983 cutlass (H/O). The previous owner cut both the male and female connectors and hardwired the connection when it was replaced last time. I am installing a new one and would like to get it back to a plug in instead of the direct connection they had. Can anyone tell me who manufactured or supplied the female 3 wire connectors for connection to the muti-function (cruise/wiper) lever column lead? I am looking for a replacement pigtail, connector or harness. I am being told it can be hardwired again but I would like to not have to cut off the male end on the replacement lever. I attached a picture of what I was told it looks like since I cannot find any information from parts/harness suppliers.

I've got some from 83 Malibus

The OE connector number is 2989914. Delphi or Packard were the supplier

I believe this should work on your application, assuming the switch connector has 2 terminals, a slot, and 1 terminal

If you have access to the OE shop manual, the connector numbers are on the wiring diagram

Failing that, you could ask 69Hurstolds nicely to verify the number

It's hard to get a good picture, but here's what I have

Thanks Ribbedroof. That is the part I am looking for. I have the chassis service manual and the electrical manual but neither referenced a part number so this helps greatly. Are you looking to part with any of the ones you have?

2989914???

Best info I have on that number is that it was used for 67-70 cruise control switches and discontinued with no supersession in 1981.

I don't know. Not familiar with 83 and earlier. I cannot verify that the p/n is used in later model years.

Did find the "connector people" show the p/n for the shell. You'd have to get the correct pins for it, and as for that, I'm not sure. Made by Delphi.

Did you ever find the connector that you were looking for, as I am trying to find the came connector? If so, please let me know where you found it at.

Thank you
