I put the shims behind the crank pulley so it lines up with the other pulleys, the way the belt goes from the crank to the water pump pulley which is smooth cause the back of the belt rides on it that picks up any discrepancy of the position of the pulleys but it is one of those things that I always like to fix..belt I got was too long, got the belt number from online in a forum so it must be a defective belt....

had to put some wind and a plug in the back tire this morning. Dead flat. and I noticed they are down to the wear bars. Guess it's time for new rubber. This is the 2nd set of back tires, but the fronts are fine. Must be some kind of weird alignment issue :)

I love it when a plan comes together

Last hold up is pretty much the seat belts and I couldn't put the driver door bottom cover because I can't find or remember what screw holds in the sport driver mirror into place:mad:

Found my vacuum leak.
Last year, on the day we put it away into winter storage it started running bad. Low power, put your foot in it to go up a hill and it'd die, sometimes even stall out.
Pretty sure I knew what it was, and had all winter to think about it.
So, I confirmed my suspicions this morning after driving it 20 miles to get the new inspection sticker

Hose fitting to the charcoal canister line had pulled out of the carb body.
That sucked;)

Anybody know what holds the adjuster in the door panel for the mirror, I see its threaded but don't see anything near the size of what I would think goes in it. Tried the tiniest screw I had around and that didn't seem to do it

I thought it was a small allen type set screw. I'm just going off of memory.
