See the thing is if I were to install the bumper stop on the pedal bracket my clutch would be disengaged.

Also I don't believe there is a lip anywhere inside this z-bar. The bushing went in way too deep. I'm starting to feel like I need to track down some factory parts.

*Second edit** I guess if I can get the linkage figured out I'll drill a hole So I can insert a pin and stop the inner bushing from going too deep... Might also close up that giant grease fitting hole in the bottom and add a regular sized one, up top where I can reach it. Lol

** Third edit***
Okay. Seems like if I just buy a factory style lower rod instead of this one that came in the kit I think I'll be fine. So I just need to pull the z-bar drill a hole to so I can pin the inner bushing and add a grease fitting.

Picture is just a "proof of concept" test before ordering more parts. I don't intend to try to drive it like this.

second issue, the clutch linkage rod that runs from your clutch pedal to the z-bar is correct, however the company drilled the hole in the clutch pedal for the rod end too big. Again, easy fix with a trip to ace hardware for a bronze bushing insert for 75 cents.

Lucky! my local ace hardware didn't have anything bronze or steel or aluminum that even came close to fitting. Ended up buying a nylon bushing, cutting it to length and drilling out the center. I really don't expect it to last very long but it's better than nothing...

Got the upper pedal stop (purchased separately) installed. And received my lower clutch rod from classic industries today. Hopefully this will solve all my pedal height problems. IMG_20200804_204614451.jpg

Yeah that's where I got mine. I can take a couple pictures tomorrow. Definitely need that upper stop to keep the lower rod from just falling out. I don't know how they could sell a "Kit" and not include that.

Do you have the spring from the clutch fork to the frame? There is supposed to be a spring to keep the lower rod from popping out.

I do have the spring. Not installed yet, but thanks for letting me know it goes to the frame, I didn't have any idea where to hook it.

The clutch fork in the kit doesn't have a hole drilled for the spring but I'm using a factory fork.

I feel like without the upper stop you could still easily lift the pedal enough for the rod to drop out. Even with the spring in place.

I have owned several factory 4 speed Malibus now and never had a problem with that lower rod dropping out. I could take pictures to show you where it hooks
