Remove the SBC and swap in the 6.0L LQ4. Sell the Muncie to help fund the T56 I need behind the LS. Who knows if I'll be able to swing the transmission. Might just be hanging out on jackstands for a year :/

Going to get back to work insulating the ceiling of the garage and close it all in to keep the heat where I need it, not up in the rafters. Then maybe I can talk about work on the car.

House projects to be done as always, 150 year old home, those just never stop.

What year 4.3 you using
using a short block from an '89 astro (TBI), with heads/intake/FI from 00 blazer. read before the newer setup on the older bottom is supposed to give me an extra 20 hp at the flywheel... don't know if it's true, but I bought the astro from the neighbors kids for $100 about 2 years ago, and had bought the blazer for $500, and harvested everything off of it (2wd front brakes, rear discs, roof rack for the gypsy wagon project, seats, console, even cut the roof off for floorboard patches on the wagon, sold the front clip and a few other parts to a buddy with an s10... what was left over looked like a turkey carcass the day after thanksgiving...with the parts I kept, and the $ I got from my buddy and the scrapyard, I came out on the positive side...)

Jim, getting rid of the fuel cell and going back to a stock tank. I learned this year going to cruises and shows that I don't have room for necessities when the family goes along.
Crappy part is my brother n law cut off the front tank strap mounts, so there wasn't anything to mount the tank too. I didn't realize this until last year, pissed me off too!!!!

My neighbor builds circle track cars and has 52 years of fab skills, so he is gonna weld on the new mounts so I can hang the tank.
I couldn't imagine having a car with a cell. It'd have to be a badass mf'er!
Going to make some 2x4 stands for the GP to get it up so it's comfortable to work under it....should have made them before the covid cause the price for 2x4's have gone way up...
Jenga/crib style? Those are really nice because everything is loaded, like for doing exhaust or body mounts.

Will we see the dyno sheet when finished
probably wheel hp, engine dynos in iowa are few and far inbetween. if my math checks out, at least 350 rwhp would mean i more or less met my goal. thats 100 more than i got now.

I was just asking because I have some 4.3 camshafts by comp cams but they are flat tappet first GEN and they won’t work in your engine

Planning to work with the new owner of the wagon to pull the turbo 4.1 buick out and I'll hopefully pull the carb turbo out and start the SFI swap. The trans desperately needs a rebuild and looking for ECM upgrade options.

2+2 needs some instrumentation on the intercooler water temp, probably going to put a steel bellhousing in and some adjustable shocks

Wife and I are going to swap the white appliances with stainless stuff in the kitchen. Slowly cruising marketplace for a few year old Kitchenaid stuff since everyone is remodeling kitchens and they sell few year old used stuff. Already found a stovetop and dishwasher. Need to find a wall oven (which is a tough one!!). Probably go new on the fridge.
