Welcome! Looks like a great project. FYI, I've got 18x9.5" in the rear without a notched frame. But the previous owner did trim the inside of the wheel openings for additional clearance.
Looks good.

What is your backspace on those wheels?
How much room do you have between the tire and the frame?

These have a 5.5" backspace with a 10mm spacer to center them in the wheel well. The tires are 285/35/18. They do rub a little when cornering aggressively. So I will probably end up notching the frame this winter since I'm shooting for 18x10 wheels in the near future.

Thanks. I have an 18x10 with a 6.2 backspace that I tried and it rubs on the inside frame but I think it will be fine with a notch. I might end up selling these and getting getting a 18x10 or 18x10.5 with a 4.5 backspace or 5.2 backspace. Im also going to want at least a 295 maybe 305 because its going to make some power when its done

That sounds like a great setup. Please post pics of your progress since I'm shooting to notch my frame as well.

Alright. Its going to be a while though. Next step is taking out the 350 thats in it and going with a 468. 350 is going in a 94 z28. I should be completely done with the el camino by end of year hopefully sooner

Your Elco looks crazy good. I thought long and hard about black before choosing a color. Do you have a thread for your’s that I can look at?

Thank you for the compliment! Done a lot of work to this vehicle since I bought it back in late 2018. Here is a thread with some better pics of it for reference. Best of luck with your project. Looking forward to seeing your progress along the way.
