I used a cut non A/C alternator bracket with a bolt. I am just getting TDC, I believe. Here are the pics. I am getting 25 going one way and 40 the other way. I should adjust the wheel so they are same, correct?
Add the together divide in half put your pointer at 32 1/2 that would be top dead center then move your degree wheel to the pointer so it shows zero

Will do. Basically I have been encouraged to advance the cam once I make sure it is where it is supposed to be. I will get back at it later this week.

Advanced is a better place to be. I have degreed cams and been advanced by 1-2 and tried to go one position back on the set up and wound up retarded so there was no chance of hitting the ICL dead on. Put it in advanced and run it. My last cam was off by a few degrees. Checked it every way possible and wound up off, so I moved the timing chain and started getting the numbers I was supposed to. That's why we check them. And that was an .814/.798 lift solid roller 282/290 @.050.

I ran this cam in a 9.6 to 1 Olds 350 advanced position on the timing set, never degreed it. I did check the the timing set used with this cam but not the cam itself. It ran a meh 9.4 in the 1/8 mile. I adjusted the APT and gained .1 and 1 mph with 2 APT adjustments. I might have hit high 8's with more tuning.

Never stop tuning until you’re sure nothing is left on the table

I agree on the never stop tuning a combo. I gained that .1 and 1 mph with each 1/2 turn. I should have went a full turn out each run. I doubt this combo will make it to the track. The only way I would if I get the 3.90 gears installed. I not driving 4 hours to be embarrassed. I will be adding an AEM wide band with the new stroker motor.

Need the dragy app and some straight highway ;)

If these heads flow the way they're advertised I can't beileive this would not be an 8 sec 1/8 car.
