Hi,
I just finished porting/polishing a pair of vortec heads.Its the second set ive done. Machining aint done yet. Let me know what yall think.

Chambers opened a little bit around the intake valve, and sanded to 180grit

Intake done on 60grit, guide boss narrowed, blended everything

Intake runner top and bottom matched to gasket, roof raised to match, pushrod pinch opened a little and blended. 60grit again

HD Exhaust port with the dredded inconel valve seats. Once everything is ground, sanded and blended there just as good as the regular ones id say. Will need a 3 angle job... Bosses tapered and 180grit

That looks like you touched the floor of the exhaust port. Which, if I remember correctly, is a big no-no. The Vortec heads benefited from an LT1-like intake port, but didn't get the D-port shape on the exhaust side to combat reversion. SSR is one thing, hogging them out is another.
