Whoa! What mt program? They deserve to be "recognized" on their Facebook, Instagram, or whatever social media page they maintain. Just a hint, abbreviation if you like, we can guess. This sucks.

Greetings Guys; For me a Very Sad day, couldn't sleep last night. I'm tired & angry. At myself as I picked the wrong buyer, One year & its being cannibalized! The new owner (I'll no longer call him a Care Taker) I had thought was in it for the fact that it is the only 2 door 9C1 that had 98% of the OE brackets & sheet metal. Meaning I thought he was going leave the 9C1 identity with a SB, Wrong he just wanted a nice roller. It'll be interesting to see if it comes back as a better engineered-looking (subjective of course) Outomible? He gave away the original Th-350 trans that worked Flawlessly. Oh did I mention my Sweet Heart engine that took Twenty years to develop, build & refine to make mid range torque all day. He gave it to bunch of Clowns & they put it in a PO Brown soft Smelly Stuff mustang! $8000 worth of engine that they tried to destroy. Letting some Posterior Hole try & burn it down buzzing it to 7500 for what seemed like minutes. I'd like to do the same to his creation & see his reaction. The Clowns tried to turn it into a drag engine, I'm guessing that they cracked the decks? Making the block junk! All that machine work & de-burring making it easy to re-fresh down the road Gone. At least I got 15 years of Enjoyment out of it & 40 years out of the One Very Unusual Outomibile! I'm having a hard time putting words together for my posts over on FB. Oh I'll mention the clowns have a tv show on mt tv. I wonder if they personally own anything nice-clean-Unusual or ever built anything decent? What would The Bronze Brick be worth 20 more years in the future with a the period SB in it vs just another Malibu with a Ls or BB? Ole' Bob.
Greeting Bob, truly a sad thing to hear, knowing this beautiful Malibu was your baby. There's guys out there that know what they are doing with engine work and how to apply it, and a respect for a car for what it is and what it represents (as yourself), and then you have inbred morons with money who are hell bent on destroying things just for publicity, to show you money is no object to them, perhaps their MT Tv show should be called "Dumb and Dumber no brains doing really STUPID things because I have money, to offset my insecurities because my dick is the size of a half eaten tic tac show"...Again Bob, sorry about that

If it meant that much you should have kept it. It's someone else's now and they will do as they please - they are under no obligation to you (or the car) to keep their word. They paid for that right.

Bob, you need to move on and not look back.

Bob it's good to here from you. The one thing I have learned is when you sell it's no longer yours and right, wrong, or indifferent, it's his to do as he pleases. I know this can be hard to take but - everyone thinks different.

I'll admit to being on the other side of a situation, but not with a car.

Many years ago now when I bought my first house it had only had one owner since built. I think they lived there about 40 years.

Well, as with anything else, a new owner of anything will make changes to make it their own. Sometimes minor, sometimes drastic.

In our case there were many diseased, internally rotted, or otherwise end-of-life trees, landscaping, etc. I ripped that stuff out, curlt down trees, made piles of some logs for firewood, ripped out painted ugly landscape timber for stone...

Anyways, neighbor was a b*tch. Hated anything changing and felt she should have say over what neighbors property is used for and looks like. (But this was a non HOA, no restrictions, etc)

One day in her rants she was telling me how I was disrespecting Hugh's property and how could I do that to his house and his yard... I said, look, Hugh doesn't own this anymore. He sold it and happily took the money from the closing table. If he doesn't like it, I'll sell it back plus some extra to cover my time and improvement. Same.deal, YOU could've bought it, you didn't. Its mine now and I'll do what I want to and with it.

After actually stumbling backwards and gasping loudly, she just said something like "well, I've never"... and I walked away leaving her dumbfounded looking.

Moral to the story - enjoy it your way while you own it. Once someone else buys it you've got no say over what happens. If it means enough, keep it or donate it to some foundation with stipulations on use- be it real estate, a car, or just memorabilia/collectibles.

Otherwise, life is short, enjoy what you can. Itll all be over too quickly.

Yes, we are just temporary caretakers of our possessions. We all have stories of cars we've built up, restored and just babied and then sell to someone with a totally different vision of it. Moral of the story - enjoy it while you own it.

I have to agree and I found out even sooner than you did. My 8 second chevelle that I built from a rotting hulk on someone’s front lawn over 26 years was sold in March of 2018. I got the story that the guy was looking to get back into racing after 10 years and loved the car. HE brought 2 racer friends to look the car over with him. 2 weeks after the car left it showed up on the local track’s photo page with a shoe polished number on the window and for sale on it. It was a scam to buy the car to flip it. The real buyers were the guys looking the car over and they couldn’t give a crap about the car other than what profit they could make. But I was paid, and it wasn’t mine anymore.

I seen that last night. I seen the front of the car and said I know that car! I also thought it was disrespectful what they did. So they wiped a cam in a new engine with forged internals because they cranked on the starter to get oil pressure. They didn't even put oil on the valve train first. Did see how dry the engine was when they took it apart? Then the Bronze Brick rolled in. I was like awesome dump the Mustang and race the Brick. Nope, they literally ripped the engine out of the car to put in a pile of sh*t for there show. Then they used crappy timing control and sprayed the sh*t out of it. All I can say is I hope you got the kind of money you wanted out of it? If I was in a position to buy cars for my collection. I would have loved to have that one and left it the way it was.
