this car has factory clutch linkage and bell housing car also has factory manifolds and y pipe. the only hole i had to cut was for the shift tower i moved the factory crossmember back 1 hole, and mount lined up very well trimmed 1.25 in off factory tab for trans mount the .the distance between the main shaft centerline and trans mount is within a 1/4 inch of the mount on the super t-10 that came out. i've been driving it for about a week and i'm lovin it ! the deep 1st gear with my lame *ss 300 horse 350 and the .62 od is awsome such a pleasure to drive. weak point in the tr3650 is the input shaft i had this one upgraded to the 26 spline. this trans shifts like butter. the gate in the trans is a little on the vague side as compared to the tko 600 in the corvette but the malibu is my daily if there is'nt salt on the road i'm driving it. Had the factory driveshaft shortened and rebalanced and the 31 spline yoke in stalled by MrDriveshaft in wall NJ good place quality work. only non issue is no mech speedo drive for this trans but bob at hanlon motorsports did put on a 40 tooth gm speedo sender at my request for future anti lock brake adaptation. my dakota digital vhx dash came in. that's the next project. at this point im collecting parts for an ls swap at this point. the attraction to the tr3650 was i did not have to cut the sh*t outta the trans tunnel to fit it like i would have to do for the tko swap. g-force has a 9310 gearset and inputshaft up grade for this trans good for 900 ftlbs if you needed it. the ls goin in makes 480hp witch is more than enough .

Not to revive a dead thread but how did you get the trans to mount up to the original g-body bellhousing? It looks like you have an adapter? I am trying to do this swap on the cheap with used parts for my 87 el camino which is also my year-round daily driver. The tr-3650 seems reasonable to get used and has more tq capacity than the t5 so I am starting to look into this option. Also, how are you liking it? and complaints or anything you would do differently?

So you dont need the very specific g-body bellhousing? Also where did you get the adapter plate? I am converting from a th350 auto to a manual while also doing a rear end swap from a 2.73 open to a 3.73 posi so I can get highway cruising and good acceleration with a 5spd. Thanks for the reply!
