I contacted the machine shop, still not done, they are hoping they can get it done in the next couple of weeks. I told them if the block won't clean up at 4.065", go to 4.070" or 4.080" due to available ring sets. Only has been 2 months, they are still busy.
Took 7 months for my build.
And for some reason people are burning these CERB cheques, so the backlog is great

I called the machine shop to see if my 350 block was machined. The secretary said she would get back to me, she did not☹.

Sounds like your machine shop & Flowkooler went to the same school for customer service...

Yeah, when I give up and sell my Olds, you have first dibs on my last in the Universe, Flowkooler Olds reverse rotation water pump. I can't stomach a sbc or LS under the hood and the 350 is making not only knocking sounds but squealing as well. I thought it was belt related, still there with the belt removed😱

Yeah, it sucks. I threw in some gear oil and 20W50 to hopefully keep limping it across town for a few months. I have a spare 330 crank but I chucked my spare standard pistons and rods.

Think these CERB cheques are helping with alot of builds. Easy money to throw around
Yeah, it must be nice to spend everyone else's money on a project. Hopefully they get caught up so I can order the custom Mahle pistons I need. It makes me question where I should bring the rest of my parts when the time comes.
