Got my ticket as well a couple of days ago. Meaning that I don't have to worry about not getting in despite that they've never turned anyone away. I was planning to go matter of my entry status. The worst that could've happened is that the central north part of the country could've had a redneck turned loose on them to burn off a couple of sets of tires in every possible town I encountered. Thanks to Hot Rod, I won't have to drop to those levels of immaturity (damn it!!!).
Hopefully, if this friggin' weather turns around, I'm planning a weekend run somewhere until the July 4th holiday. My 'local' track, Cicero (Syracuse, NY) that's 1 1/4 hours away has only one test and tune scheduled for next month. Leicester (Empire Dragway) is a couple of hours and does test-n-tune every Friday night; Lebanon Valley (Albany, NY) does Weds nite test-n-tune. I would love to see Buster at his 6/20 run at Beaver Springs, PA, but not sure I can pull it off. I intend to run the snot out of it until July 4th weekend and find every possible weakness - I expect something to break. At the end of that I hope to be in sub 9.5 target and be able to turn 10.0_'s on a switch.
If the plan sticks together, Monte Alban will get a face lift and all of the safety sh*t finished along with the trailer hitch before the middle of August and be ready to head to Michigan. FWIW I've made plans before and had them fall through, so I anticipate a thrashing until early September lol.
For those of you that haven't done this - it's truly more fun and work than you realize. It's not a cruise with french fries and soda whenever you want. It's a challenge to make the miles and the runs. My goal is to make it to the last day then - see what happens, meaning 'all the boost'
I truly hope it works out - time is on my side presently. Wish me, Bruce and Ben some luck to get it done! Also, I hope to see a bunch of you and others - Vanrah especially!!!

It has, and Martin, MI is not that far from Ottawa - you're inside of an hour of the same drive as me - JUST SHOW UP!

I'm not going to jivx myself, but hopefully, it will be a 13 second 67 442.
I can't see running the Bonneville being much fun, unless I put a spinny, whooshy thing on it. That just seems like a waste of time and money.
