My GN currently has the stock 15x7 rims on it. Cant remember the tire size car is not with me as I'm typing this. I'm having an LS swap done to it with new trans/rear-end/brakes ect...! Pretty much a restomod when done. Trying to figure how much larger tire I can go to in the rear with out notching or rolling the fender. I was thinking of staying with the 15x7 rims on the front and increasing the rear to 15x8 with a wider tire, I not sure what the offset is/would need to be. I like the stance on the 15 rims. Looking for your knowledge/experience that many of you have had with this...Thanks for all replies/pics...!!

15x8's w/4" or 4.25"BS work well on g-bodys. The 4.25" offers a little more clearance @ the fender lip. I currently have 8" w/4.25"BS on a '78 Malibu.

How big are the brakes they are installing? If they are much bigger than the stock setup you will most likely not be able to run the 15" wheels do to clearance.

True. I assumed they would remain small enough to fit within the stock 15x7 wheels mentioned in the original post. It's something that has to be considered if upgrading to rear discs (of any size).

I would also be worried about the front brakes fitting with 15" wheels if the brakes were made larger, also some kits for disk brakes either push the wheel out which is more common than pulling them in.

Are you paying somebody to do all the work?
Post some pics please!! Welcome to the forum
Yes I am having the work done, I've no longer the eye sight, patience, tools required for this task. Worked on it and rebuilt engine for many years when I had some skills and little money. The problem with age is a whole bunch of problems and if your fortunate, thank the good Lord I was somewhat you have more money. It's all a$$ backwards. Trying to post a couple of pics......lol. It's all a$$ backwards.......!!!
