Just getting back to paying attention to my 81 Malibu. I owned it for 25 years. Just wondering how much these go for. It’s a 1981 Malibu classic 2 door with factory console. Was a v6 auto. Now a 350 with the th350. She has some paint chips from stones not many but just from being driven. Interior is in good shape for its age. No bondo. Solid car. Thanks for any input. I’ve been out of the loop for awhile with the prices. Tim.

If the frame is good and the driveline is solid, then I have no opinion. But of the frame is weak in te tail areas and the driveline is considered functional only, then $3-4K. If you have original paperwork and there is truly no bondo, then more.

These things are in the eye of the beholder unless it's a late model 442 or GN. The positive side is that every 'classic' car is on the upswing in value. All the rest of the G's just aren't in high demand by the masses.

Thanks She’s solid. I owned it for 25 years. Was never driven in winter. But just wondering where it stands.

I'd bet you could get $12,500 for it, but it'll take a bit to find the right buyer. Otherwise, 7500 all day and sold quick.

It looks really clean. does not have rust, running & driving, console, nice ralleys... I say 8k.
I like the LeCarra steering wheel with black spokes.

Check the usual scumbags and see what comparables haven't sold yet. Then divide those listed prices by half.

Unfortunately, it's just a Malibu with a 350/350 swap.

This body style has gotten more popular and in demand. It does look clean and well taken care of. As for putting a price on it, I kind of agree with Mike in a sense. You would have to make a comparison to what's on the market and what has sold at what price. I think 8K for the car is not off base....perhaps even more, depending on how desperate the buyer is. Of course, the car would need to be assessed up close, inside out. That's my opinion.

Toolman78 There is nothing "unfortunate" about your car. It is obvious you have cared for it well, and added some power to make it fun to drive. It has nice paint, a clean interior, nice wheels, chrome looks good, all the trim is there, I can see the upper weatherstripping has been replaced. You can't build it for less than 8k. I would not sell it for less.

Thanks. Just seeing where these cars stand now.

thanks. Don’t think I’m gonna sell it. Fun car to drive. I did take care of it. Just wanted to see where prices are on this.
