I did a quick search on car-part to check the local yards, didn't see a whole lot of stock there for them and it didn't have a way to search for the mirror switch. So gonna have to see what else I can come up with for them
Have you started at page one of this thread? Somewhere in the first two pages, you will see that a switch from a '90s Caprice will work, and will also fit into the original hole where the cable remote knob mounts.

Yeah I did, that is what I had meant that I was able to search through the Fiero mirrors but couldn't find the Caprice mirror switch

Since I figured it’d be easier to wire a power passenger side mirror up rather than route the remote cable into a dash I don’t have the hardware for, I went to a local yard to see what they have and can confirm that 3rd gen F bodies use a different housing for this setup, but may use the same glass and motors. I’ll be digging into the one I grabbed in the future.

For comparison to Fiero, the red mirror is from a 87 Trans Am specifically:

The mounting pedestal is around a 1/4 inch shorter, and may have a different angle to it. The glass looks nearly identical though.

And ones from a C4 Corvette that I regrettably couldn’t grab, the boss doesn’t want to part it out yet.

Upon closer inspection the 3rd gens and the C4s might use the same housing. Motors may retrofit, but I have to take one of my doors apart to find out.

Figured I’d revive this thread with some new information on the C4 mirrors. C4 side mirrors actually appear to be nearly identical to Monte/Fiero except the pedestal around an 1/8 of an inch shorter on the Corvette mirrors:

Note that both of these photos were taken with both mirrors bolted down in the front only, with a MC mirror gasket in place.

The angles don’t seem substantially different either:

If at all, given I’m taking these photos with a phone camera.

Now here’s the catch:
It’s Corvette stuff so these are rather expensive. This was a local yard- so the prices are likely cheaper than you’d get anywhere else- and the pair ran me $100. If you go into classifieds or eBay, be prepared to spend a good chunk of change; but be sure you’re getting power mirrors, I don’t know if Vettes came with manual ones or not. As a bonus, they’ll likely be heated too!

You will have to put different connectors on the harness though, the ones on these mirrors are too big to fit into the opening on a MC or Elco door.

I forgot about this thread. I've spent most of the morning searching Fleabay for C3 mirrors as I missed out on a set there over a week ago. C4's are cheaper than C3's. Still trying to find out if any other models used powered bullet mirrors or whar can donate parts to convert mine.

I believe what models have been discussed here are the only ones that came with the right style of mirrors.

Motors on the other hand, might be a different story. Bubble body caprice’s may use the same motors?

I did find a motor during my searching that I'll have cross it to see what all used it to see if it fits the bullet mirror. Think it was for the chrome B/C-body mirrors.
