JD Blitz black and the others will have to be stripped to use real paint later, not as if a spray bomb won't, but it will be less work. 8-10 cans and call it done. I may have sprayed a car with rattle cans in a professional spray booth once......and stayed in a Holiday Inn a few times.

While true, no G body really should NOT be stripped for a modern refinish. Painting over the OG 40 year old lacquer or early bc/cc is sure to fail later

I am just a few hours East, and I've already done most of the hard work. Bring your skills, Tommy Boy.

I already made the recommendation to epoxy everything in your PM to me. Wouldn’t be $$$ wasted, and no labor to strip and redo when the time comes. Might be a little more cash outlay up front, but pay now or pay later. Looks like you’ve made your decision, so…

The epoxy is on the shelf for when I strip the car. This isn't about me not taking solicited advise. This just a cosmetic exercise for sh*ts and giggles. No different than if I vinyl wrapped the panels or bought a bushel of stickers from China - both options I seriously considered - until I was ready to completely work a panel.

$70 and an afternoon isn't a big commitment to get an aesthetic.

2cans per panel/area. First one to "fog" it and the second to get a more even look. Some times the top and hood take 3 depending on your speed and movement from each side. I've done this many times as to see the whole panel as I'm working it and when it's ready sand it off and lay the epoxy/sealer of your choice. Black will turn chalky after awhile in the sun

You could buy a can of rustoleum and acetone or xylene to thin and spray with a gun. I've used the harbor freight guns for epoxy with success. It's gonna be cheaper, easier and better quality then cans imo. Car looks awesome as is BTW, most of us are staring the huge tires and boom tubes, but I get not wanting to wear a multi color dreamcoat(although it solidifies your spot as "that guy" in the neighborhood)
