my th350 has a leak from the converter cover and recently it won't shift out of 2nd (when you put it in drive). I'm assuming the leak is a torque converter seal? Can the torque converter also be the problem with shifting? I haven't checked the vacuum line to the th350 yet and will be looking at this closer tomorrow. Took it to the corner gas station and it was running fine going there, coming home it wouldn't shift thru the gears. Any advice from you all would be appreciated.

How much was it leaking? If it leaked enough then you would be low on fluid which could lead to no shifting.

How low was it? After topping it off did 3rd come back? Transmissions aren't always very forgiving with running low on fluid.
over a quart,,,I got very lucky. It seems to be running normally now. Will take it to the transmission shop as soon as I can to have it looked at. I am thinking I have a leaking seal due to the small amount of fluid in the torque convertor cover. Not real familiar with transmission repair myself.
