I was talking more about those abscesses in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and the open festering one you could fist in Ottawa.

But, yeah - any major urban centre is contributing.

Deer mostly. People if needed.

I would like a responsible/effective rifle for hunting.
Super late reply but it didn't sound like you've settled on anything yet and still have plenty of time to decide. Given your stated purpose, you might consider a lever gun in 30-30 for several reasons.
1. It's a proven deer harvester.
2. It's a Fudd caliber and a Fudd platform, which means it gets more of a pass by .gov and the anti-gun public if/when things get more restrictive.
3. 30-30 isn't going anywhere and it's available and reasonably priced.
4. Lever guns are fun to shoot and mostly ambidextrous.
5. Lever = quick follow-ups.
6. 6-8 round capacity is better than most bolt guns.
7. They're pretty compact which makes moving around in the brush (or clearing the house) easier.

Not the most tactisexy thing out there but it fits the bill. Maybe give it some thought.

Ironically it was the first one I grabbed out of the rack to familiarize myself with. And coincidentally it was also one of the two I was evaluated on. The other was the pump action 12 gauge... the second one I familiarized myself with in class.

It might be a sign. ;)

Thanks for weighing in!

It's the same story here, just change the names.

Seriously cool when it happens, right?

I think I... we... made him late for his next appointment by talking shop as long as we did.
Oh well, that sh*t can wait. Not like it's gonna walk away.:D
