Funny but I don't know what this panel is called. In good shape after stripping with 3M bristle and purple fiber disc. Aside from bumpers, I will strip trunk lid next then hood. Both have some serious real estate.

Trunk underside is in decent condition but there are some issues. The front part of the hood nearest to the back glass has some strange repairs. The rear most portion has some surface rust. Diving in soon.

Let's talk about shrinkage... 😆
I mentioned concerns about this awhile back. These have been sitting for about 6 weeks now. Large container is half gallon. What's left is about 3/8's of an inch thick and shrunk about an inch around circumference. Small container is about an eighth of an inch and shrunk much less. So in my feeble mind I'm going to say the very thin layer on the car would not worry me

Completely normal, especially with high build. Don’t worry it and just carry on. The car is coming along great!

Happy birthday America 🇺🇸
Stripped underside of trunk on Friday. Rust converter done on slight surface rust. Epoxy laid out yesterday. Today did top side. You can see where converter turned black in last picture. About 8 hours of grinding away ... about 100 degrees in garage so tomorrow morning epoxy will be laid down.
