Short rant, FiTech will make you hate fuel injection - it's awful. And I wouldn't recommend a Sniper, but at least Holley has support for it.

I'd go with multiport, but that's me, with a truck intake.

I couldn’t find a terminator kit under the regal options where do you recommend I look? I think I’m gonna do the 4l80 for sure and would like to make it as simple as possible and the fact that your saying it comes with trans harness to communicate with the motor I’d prefer it

They are universal. The link I posted doesn't care about what chassis it's going in. You can find them cheaper also. I bought mine from the local circle track shop, paid cash and saved about $200 from Holley price. But you need an intake - truck intakes are the cheapest and get the best mileage and bottom end torque. but they aren't pretty haha.

You have to pick which reluctor wheel you're using, either 24x1x or 58x4x and what injectors you're using. Plan to use a truck TB or buy an Ebay TB. I upgraded to a Warr Performance TB.

Ok awesome thank you so much you’ve been a great help! I’m going to go to my buddys shop and unload all this info and have him start looking at giving me a ball park with me buyin the parts and helping with install

Call holley. They'll set you up. And don't buy the ecu until you have engine, injectors and transmission picked since that'll change the harness. You can use the stock tank with holleys returnless module.
If it were mine I'd keep the engine and just buy that tank module, truck intake and accessories. If you want an easy install and prettier engine bay , buy a terminator. If not, the stock ecu works fine for a cruiser. I personally want a term x max but I can't justify it yet at 1700$(you still have to tune it, it's just alot simpler to navigate) It seems with what you have, all you need to do is throw the efi back on, buy a 4l80e (or t56,tkx, or any 4spd mansmission) and swap the pumpkin in your 9". Everybody has different preferences for street driven gear ratios. 4.11s has never bothered me with a 4spd. But with gas so high maybe 3.42s are better. I've never owned a spool car before, but a buddy had 1 in a s10. All I noticed was some screeching in parking lots. Thing was a riot to rip though. I'd think you could get most of the $ needed for a stock 4l80e by selling the built th400. I wonder if you'd be able to use the converter and driveshaft you have on a 4l80e. A solid plan is necessary before you start buying parts imo. Or disregard all the advice, opinions and buy a Big Block. Vortec 454 ftw?

Depends on how it's going to be used. Tight turning, like backing into or driving into a tight parking space is awful. Any low speed tight maneuvering is butt clenching for me. Only because I have to stand on the throttle to get the car to move a small distance. Even pulling out of a tight spot can cause the same feeling because as the front wheels straighten the car accelerates as the throttle is being lifted. Throw a loose converter into the mix and it increases the issue. But, for normal driving around town or on the highway you never know it's back there.

My wife looks at me funny everytime I I use the turn around in our driveway because I have the rpm's around 3000-4000 to get the car to do it (it's noisy, beyond just the tire squeak.)

Yeah I plan on buying the trans first and measure for driveshaft. I’m looking at switching tanks because I noticed when I filled up last time I got home and parked in my driveway with a slight incline in the front and fuel started dripping from the tank. Got under and couldn’t find a break in the lines or cracks in the tank but still dripping, it’s the original tank so I’m sure it’s just old and a new tank would make me feel better lol. I have all the opinions I’m liking written down and will be going today to my buddies shop for a clearer plan and price

Good morning, so I went to my buddys shop and talked about the plan and got his opinion, I think at this point I am going to contact strange since the rear end is one of theirs and see about changing the axles and pumpkin on the rear to a 3.42 or something close to it. Along with a new fuel tank and the Holley system, kicker is I found a local person with a Holley terminator system complete with everything minus the manifold but I believe mine should work only bad part is he doesn’t know 100% if it an ls system so I’m having him send me any part numbers he sees on the harness’ to verify it will work.
