I recently got an 85 brougham with an lt1 from a 1996 impala ss already swapped in to it. The swap was not completed and I am now just getting comfortable with gbodys since I have never worked in one before. It needs headers, spark plugs, spark plug wires and that’s all I could get from my own knowledge, I have them ready to install but I know I’m missing more things. If y’all could help me figure what those things are I’d really appreciate it.

Well, the radiator hoses need to be clamped for starters so the motor doesn’t burn up and warping the block up 🤣

Not sure about these engines specifically, yours looks quite nice but I don’t see the PS pump on?

Did they wire in the starter and the HEI at least dude?!

Man, such an easy swap being carb'd. Why'd PO give up on it? I'll be the first to say that thing is begging for a cam!
And soon it will be begging for a head gasket, with no lower rad hose and coolant 😏😂

Not sure why he just simply lost interest. And alr has a couple of things done to it. It’s got Comp Cams k54-412-11- Xtreme RPM camshaft kit, ARP bolts, headman shorty headers ready to install, Yukon Def and a b&m 350 turbo trans.

He def didn’t, there is many hoses and wires just dangling around in there, Ik this maybe a simple and easy swap but I am new to this with little to no knowledge but I do hope to learn

Yeah you will definitely need those two wires hooked up at a minimum.

I would be careful too, def avoid running the engine more than a few minutes without coolant though if you insist on testing without all of the hoses.

Oh and don’t worry dude haha I’m a young guy that don’t know really jack sh*t also 🤣👌
How would I go about doing that if u don’t mind?
Make sure the purple wire is going to the starter, and the pink/red to your distributor by the firewall man.

I'm not a LT1 guy but I'd suggest to punt that air cleaner & get round type as those can bring some bad ju-ju with a simple back fire.
