The fans do not come on after following the diagram that came with the relays.
What steps do I need to take?
Please be specific.
Very hard for us to answer that not seeing what you have done.

Help us help you.

I completely agree with Built6spdMCSS , you're asking for specifics but that's kind of difficult without seeing specifically what you're working with. My recommendation with this is if you have someone local (friend or repair shop) you can bring it to, that might be the best bet since when it comes to cooling fans, and the appropriate wiring, circuit protection that goes with it; you don't want to make a mistake and have a dangerous fire hazard.

In order for those of us familiar enough to try and help we need more details about what you have. Here's what I recommend, take pictures of the FAN(s), and the make sure you include views of the connectors/wiring that they come with.

Second, post a picture of your RELAYS and associated wiring harness that they came with. Lay it all out neatly and take pictures, and upload them here. Make sure you include close ups of any markings, print stamped on them as well.

If you have Brand, and Model/Part numbers for the Fans and/or the Relays please provide that information as well in your reply. For example a LINK(s) to the kits you purchased from Jegs/Summit or wherever so that we can go look at it's description, or installation guide.

Again, we want to help and many here can certainly steer you properly but we'll need more specifics on what you have in hand in order to give more specifics.

Regards!

I appreciate the offer to help. I’ve got an appointment at a local shop to sort out the fans. The fans do actually work. If the shop is unable to solve the situation I will definitely take photos and provide brand and part numbers. Thanks

For next time, you could run the circuit to test out before putting it in the vehicle to get you more familiar on what needs to happen.

That’s a terrific idea. It was wired up previously by someone else. It would not shut off plus the installer did not include any relays. The only way I could get the fans to shut off was to disconnect the battery cable.

So the previous installer didnt even know what he was doing, unless someone did it for him, and they didnt even know what they were doing, hooking eveything up directly would overload the wiring and could potentially cause an underhood fire taking the rest of the car out. :wtf:

Holy crap... that's scary to think about what could have happened. Glad you're taking action to get it all corrected!
