Hey All, I have a 96 LT1 carb converted motor in my Malibu nearing completion. This motor has a 7.5” crank pulley (stock diameter) and I made sure to get one that is keyed and also has timing marks. The problem is the marks suck. The unit came with timing tape for various diameters however the tape is about 1” thick and there is only maybe 1/4” of width for tape. (???) Right now I am using a piece of painters tape with a sharpie line just to temporarily ID TDC. Timing tape may not be absolutely necessary but it would definitely be nice. The LT1 timing tab on the cover is just one line, not notches like on SBC. I was thinking maybe an arched shape piece of tape for the face of the pulley. Wondering if you guys had any ideas.
