We got a big hail storm this spring and the insurance said theyd pay to replace it so that's a good reason to have goo insurance I guess!!

Crew of 7 guys worked 6am-745pm and got it done on one day! They still need to come out and do gutters but the big stuff is done.

Also I went Thursday night to a friend's house and was thinking I was going to help him set up a posi rear in his new gmt800 rcsb 6.0 he just picked up. He's helped me out on drag weekend a few times towing my car when it's broke, I've used his mill a few times so trying to repay the favor.

I assumed he was just swapping to a posi and tossing a small centri blower on it but I came over and he was pulling the frame out from under the cab and the engine and box was already pulled.

The scope didn't just creap on this project, it was a full on sprint!! A simple gear and blower install turned into a full frame repaint, lol.

Stopped down to a friend's that is letting me hunt her property. Hung a tree stand. On the way back home saw this sitting by the road. Guy was giving it away for free. Evidently he got a new pellet grill and doesn't use it any more. Ignitor doesn't work, ordered a new module and installed it yesterday. My friends hate me, I always seem to fall into things like this.

Bought 3 blue spruce to fill in where I had to cut a 75' ash tree down.

Built engine mounts using parts of the original Olds mounts plus 1/4" plate, mounted the engine and with careful positioning re-used the Impala full length headers that were on the engine we used, beings we went SBC on the Merc it still had to have some flair under the hood with a little old school flavor. Need to install new starter, fuel pump, and build plug wires to get it started. Next up is shorten the driveshaft then we should have a moving car. After that tackle the "kit" used to convert the front to tubular a-arms/disc brakes to fix the nasty negative camber built into the kit so it doesn't eat tires.

Looks great. Too bad the BBO didn't work out.

A little show and tell, here...................I show, you tell.............

So, okay, what is known here is that it is a late model Studebaker, set up as a Gasser, and the original iteration of this shot places it on a strip at some point in its life. Can't do anything about the blurriness, that was embedded in the parent shot and would require the negative or some seriously mad editing skills and software to address.

My burning question here is, What year Stude is this??? Being that the general lines of it would suggest that it is a "square body", maybe late fifties or early sixties?

Put in the GM bed light kit on the Silverado today. Did I really need it, no. Did I really want it, yea. Shame the Fleabay seller wouldn't budge to match the price on their retail site nor sell it to me from the retail site. Pain in the arse to find '14-'15 kits cause they changed the connector used in '16 & discontuned it before the 7 years was up.

I love the bed lights in my F150. They can light up a whole work area. Great for late night chainsawyering.
