Yea this is definitely an interesting one, folling through Florida, pick up energy over the Atlantic and back into the east coast. Atleast they have time to prepare.

Have an old friend in P-cola who keeps trying to entice me into moving down there.
That's near me, not missing much there, I wouldn't live in Pensacola.

Citizens, the state controlled insurance company is projecting 250,000 claims. Who knows where they will get the manpower to handle that. We are projecting about 5,000 claims at this time. 40 other carriers, so no telling how many total claims. We anticipate that some carriers will fold due to the claims abuse in the state. Ian went through some very populated areas and slowed to 8MPH, which is bad. Lots of flooding so there may be limited insurance flood coverage. Two million people without electricity. Up side is Florida is probably better prepared than any other state for a disaster like this. I drove back from Kansas Monday to my home in South Georgia and already saw repair crews, personnel deployed and staging. Lots of people will need help but there is a LOT of thievery in events like this so research when you donate.

Yeah there's already things going around about making sure you donate to the right places and they aren't fraud or anything like that. I've got friends who are on crews going down there right now. Lots of flooding and damage.

+100 on the best wishes. Have an old friend in P-cola who keeps trying to entice me into moving down there. Nuh-uh. I'll take icebergs and 10 foot tall snow banks over Hurricanes any day. Don't see many tornadoes around here; mostly they haunt the eastern half of the province where the politicians live.
