On the north eastern coast of the states in P.A. there is town called Carlisle, they hold car show events each year, spring, summer and fall Carlisle, and even specialty events in-between, GM, Ford, Chrysler Carlisle. The fall Carlisle event was last weekend, just was curious if anyone attended and if they found much G body related items?

I used to go to the Spring and Fall meets every year. Havent gone since Spring '07. 😕
We would do it as a day trip. Leave here at 3:30AM, drive like hell. Walk the whole thing and drive back later that night. It was a lot of fun back in the day. These days my knees would be screaming halfway though the trip there. Sucks to get old. LOL
Most times I would tow my trailer down just in case we found a great deal but always came back empty. My wife thought I was an idiot. All that time, gas and tolls and I'd come back with $25 worth of tools.

I went - there was almost nothing G-Body. I saw a Cutlass grille & I think a Monte Carlo front end, & a few El Camino parts. I didn't expect much, but given the size, I expected more than I found.
I was at Canfield in Ohio two weeks earlier, which was probably 1/2 to 2/3 the size of Carlisle & there was a little more there, but not much.

Back in the 90's you couldn't help but spot a G body of some sort parked in someone's side yard/ back yard with no plates on it no matter where you went. The local yards were loaded with them, the racing community had them, heck, they were everywhere, car shows, you name it. Fast forward 20+ years and it's so surreal, everything has been used up, crashed up, crushed up, torn up and used for parts etc.

It's nice to see some fine examples, and even projects on here, knowing the few that are out there are being saved. Those people who have stashes of parts are sitting on some serios coin for sure, as people try to search out parts for their projects. I truly think back in the day, no one took G body vehicles seriously, or thought they would be worth what they are today, because if they had, I truly feel there would be more of them out there along with the needed parts sought after.

Back in the mid 2000s I went to a Fall meet and saw this wagon for sale. It was pretty big $$ back then. Came from a bodyshop right in Carlisle. This car made me want to own a wagon.

One of the hottest wagons I had ever seen. I wasnt a fan of the shaved handles and the inside wasnt as nice as the outside but it put me on the road to finding my own. To this day Im sorry I didnt two tone mine.

There where a lot of G bodies at Syracuse meet. You can find a thread with the pictures here. 3days, but Sunday was pretty quiet. Thinking of doing some other big meets next year. Most of that depends on what hits the fan at work though.
