Indeed it will, Mark,. They won't be mass produced per se, but will most likely be a limited run. I'm sure it will benefit fellow wagon owners that are faced with having to redo their headliners. These clips are nowhere to be found. Trust me.
I like your new cartoon, btw.

*Slingshot, let me know if you're interested.
Yes, I am interested in the rear clips for the headliner. Due to my time constraints, I only check in here about once a week, but count me in.

Thanks for the reply! The plastic clips over the hatch glass are needed and would be in line for what your buddy can 3D print. how about the clips that hold the sides of the headliner? I only know what came with the car and not what the factory used. My wagon came with small metal clips holding up the sides and can't find them anywhere. As for the metal molding, what you suggest is what I had in mind, if original clips were not available. Please, keep me posted on the availability of those plastic rear 3D printed clips.

Good. I'm waiting to hear back from my friend. I also need a few clips to finish my headliner job. I'll definitely contact you ASAP and let you know.

The front clips are reproduced. GM 20058837, Auveco 18398 or Disco 12133PK.

Rears can be found OEM GM 3074737.

The side ones are not available, those are what is being 3D printed. The rear ones may join them in unavailability soon.

Thank you for posting the information that you found. The rear clips (3074737) had been reproduced several years back, but no longer seem to be available. The side clips (3073629) have been unavailable for quite some time. The last ones I've purchased were from a GM dealer that happened to have a few NOS clips on the shelf. I bought what I needed at the time, but regret not purchasing all they had.
I'm still hoping this guy comes across with the 3D printed clips. He's currently working on the side clips. I also sent my friend one of the rear clips to be duplicated. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I see that that dealer wants $15.00 each for them. Yikes!

Permanent Temporary
My 81 Malibu wagon has a complete headliner in good shape, but the perimeter molding and headliner retaining clips were missing clips. I can't find anyplace in the aftermarket that has what I need, so I thought to ask if anyone here has a solution. Before I start making a system of my own to hold the headliner in place, I thought to ask what you might have done. My metal perimeter molding also has clips missing and not in the car. I bought the car as an unfinished project and now just getting to the interior headliner. Thanks for any suggestions. BTW...I am open to modifying anything that will keep the headliner and molding in place.
When I redid the headliner in my second wagon 30 years ago, I just drilled holes in the metal trim and used oval-head stainless screws. The key to making this not look like hack job was to grind a bolt into a tool to dimple the hole to match the angle of the screw head, with a cylindrical guide pin to fit the hole. I don't have pictures of the finished job, but I still have the tool, somewhere in the garage.

and as a bonus...while looking for the tool, I found the one spare needle that remains on the planet for my 40 year old Technics record player! 💎

Wasn't there something, an article or interview, with his wife in the print media recently? Saw the last name and immediately it was 1970 something and a copy of the latest Kitchen Sink Publishing Komic had just come out. And, of course, the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.
