I’m curious what an 81-88 Grand Prix roller is worth. There’s one sitting at my friend’s shop. I asked about it a year ago, and it wasn’t for sale. Today the owner called me out of the blue to see if I was still interested. This particular car has no engine or trans in it, and has a 2+2 nose on it. He said it had a 305/th350 in it originally. It comes with a lot of NOS parts as well.
IM going to take a good look at it tomorrow. My main concern is that the GP is the G body I have the least knowledge about.

That's kind of like asking "how high is high?"

LOT depends on condition, and what the NOS stuff is.

Personally, the 2+2 nose is not a plus, aside from resale value, but YMMV

I agree with the 2+2 nose. There are 2 of them, but I’d prefer the stock front end on a notch back.
From what I’m told there’s a bunch of interior parts and some body parts. The Grand Prix is probably the least desirable g body to me, except for the dash.
I think the price I can get the car for is good, I’m really just trying to sell my wife on it.

I grabbed some pics today. Aside from the flaking paint, the car looks pretty good

Looks solid, no vinyl top, 86 or 87 with buckets and a console, so it's a lot of possibilities. It's been sitting for a while, I can't hazard a guess on the value, you might try to see what he's thinking, just to see if you are close on a value of this gem.

Man that interior is not bad at all. But as others have said, I’d go with trying to see why they want for it and go from there. Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

Was it common “back in the day” to put a 2+2 nose on these? This is the first I’ve seen of that.

The car was owned by a guy that owned a body shop, I guess that’s when the nose was done. He also had access to a Pontiac dealer that was closing, so there’s supposedly a lot of new factory parts for the car. Too bad he doesn’t have an original Grand Prix header.
What he wants for the car is a little more than I’d like to spend, so it kind of hinges on what parts there are.

So I think I can get the car for a price I’m comfortable with. The problem is I have to sell my Tahoe before I have a spot to put the car. I finally have a path to a title on the Tahoe in the next few weeks. Hopefully everything works out, I’m really liking this car.

Are you planning on keeping the 2 + 2 nose on there if you get it?
