Running an early LQ with mechanical linkage. It required a gen2 F body ball threaded into 1/2" aluminum bar stock bolted into the stud hole on a Corvette bell housing with the block casting "hand milled and threaded" on the other end for the pivot point. I then had to do a fair amount of trimming and fitting the Z bar for clearance from the headers. Still wiring up the electronics so full functionality isn't tested. It was a bit of a pain, but I prefer the analog feedback from a mechanical linkage. Can see about reference pics if you are committed to mechanical.
If you could post some photos of your mechanical setup with the LS, I'd like to see them.

Any chance of seeing photos of your setup?

Gonna throw this in for whatever it’s worth.

Holley engine mounts, Holley trans mount, and Autokraft oil pan on my install, all fits as it should for standard install. I’m going turbo so I used the Holley driver’s side turbo manifold and a Fahler passenger side turbo manifold and it works great so far with mockup.

Is this the pan?

I'm in need of a pan upgrade at some point for 3-4 reasons, and probably should have over the winter, but I didn't. The 'go to' pan in my circle is the Moroso cast aluminum, but dang, that thing is $700-800 without a pickup or tray. If the pan in the link is the one you're using then I have questions.

Or is it this :

Second pan, http://www.autokraft.org/products/

I ordered directly from them and did so because of reading oil starvation horror stories. I do have a second NIB in my parts stash though. ;)

If you’ve had it for a bit, then it might be worth more than when you bought it.

Get your car done so you can let us know if you lose oil pressure launching hard haha.

Was worried more about SCCA/open road type racing than #fastandfuriouswheelstands
I got some great advice about my stock pan, after the motor was together and installed (smh).

I drop about 20 psi from the beginning of the hit to the stripe with 6 qts in a 6 qt pan. If I add an extra quart of oil, then I only lose 8-10psi. Those numbers equate into 65 to 45, and 65 to 55 with an extra qt. Obviously that’s a max of 65, but on the dyno and on a high speed street pull I get 72-75. I’m told the oil is running up the back of the block and then I have just enough oil to keep out of the ******* puckering zone of sub 30. My machine shop guy indicated that it’s not an issue dropping to 50. And he also said if it was areated enough to cause a problem I would be seeing an immediate nose dive to 10 or less area. Then he told me, almost verbatim, what I’ve been told elsewhere- all that oil is costing me .1 of second due to windage control, or lack there of haha.

So at some point I want to drop the stance 2-3”, but the current oil pan hanging 1.5” below the crossmember already is going to make me hold off on that until I get a shorter pan. I’ll probably end up with the Moroso one, but it would be great to find a proven alternative for less do re mi.

🤷‍♂️

Tried uploading off my phone. Not sure if it worked. Will check back after work. Took a bit because I have been helping my daughter out on her project more than putzing with my own.
