How about aftermarket??

Will be installing a glass hood this year. It will be a bolt on, not pin on. My plan was to use light weight springs, but then I wondered if there are light weight support brackets that bolt to the hood/fender. Aluminum instead of the stock steel units?? Anything out there??

1978 Grand LeMans. The "odd" year. I am looking ahead as far as brakes, wheels, etc. on the front end. I see the outer diameter of the spindle is different from 78 to 79. The inner is the same, thus the need for different bearing sizes, on the outer. Are the 78 and 79 spindle knuckles...

Wow, yeah, hold onto it. A 3D printer might work. I'm sure many people would buy them. I'd buy 5. :)

Here is a picture from a GM parts book. It looks like it comes with some sort of rubber around it, maybe to prevent rattling??

Correct 69, GM calls the piece the rear window, lower garnish, or something like that. I believe the clip is GM# 3069230. But it is discontinued and I cannot find a replacement part. I've tried other clips, but they are too small.

Thanks for your help guys. I just took the front down and there are 5. There are 3 in the rear. Each side also has 3. They are on ebay. A kit for front and back. And a kit for front, back and sides. Not doing a restoration, so it doesn't have to be exact part numbers. It is for a racecar...

Bringing topic back up. Doing my headliner and I need some clips. Front and back. There has to be some other aftermarket clip that would work and do the same thing. Anybody know of anything. A guy on ebay has 1 for $12. No WAY am I paying that much.

Just got the car back from the chassis shop. Cut out front crossmember and added smaller tubes. Added front engine plate mounts and mid plate mounts. Also, a new tube trans crossmember. New floor panels were added as well. Will start detailing car now. Wiring, plumbing, interior painting...
