The 442 W30 and my favorite the W31, me liking the more durable 350 were given squat for credit but were cool, fast cars for their times...

I was missing the factory parts for 70 but decided against a completely stock look. So I knew who was selling what.

I have the gauges, bought them to figure out why my shifts were on the soft side. I had to up the boost valve to the .555" to get that...

Thanks. I think keeping the 2004R is the way to go. I will toss the TH350 in the corner, if my 88 doesn't sell, it will get a junkyard...

If there is no pinging, leave it. Olds V8's love timing, higher compression and a small cam make it more difficult.

Your swirl port timing curve will be a problem if that is the 204/214 cam. I ran it with 9.5 to 1 and had pinging.

As far as the starter, make sure it is wired properly. Maybe the ignition is sticking or the solenoid isn't releasing.

  11. olds307 and 403 replied to the thread Timing on 1972 350 Olds ?.

Olds like a lot of advance, problem is 51 is a lot for even 9.5 to 1 but if it isn't pinging, run it. Ideally around 20 base with 18 to...

Remember that 307 has a whopping 7.9 to 1 compression. How big is the cam in the 350?

As said above. That is a good starter to use, the 307 starter would barely turn over my low compression 403. I assume the 350 was...
