    MALIBU Windshield Rubber Moulding

I appreciate both, Spongbob and Ribbedroof’s suggestions. Do the same techniques apply to the rear window? If so, is there a rubber moulding to use from a different vehicle or should I try using the Blazer winds moulding?

    MALIBU Windshield Rubber Moulding

Do you have any suggestions (gasket) to use for the rear windshield glass?

Understood. Thanks for clearing it up.

    MALIBU Windshield Rubber Moulding

I’m confused on a couple of things. First: do I order S10 windshield rubber gasket? Second: please clarify what you are saying about using plywood/cardboard to flatten trim?

That look is exactly what I’m referring to. I agree that metal would have to be added to close up the gap, otherwise a wide black rubber moulding might not look the best.

    MALIBU Windshield Rubber Moulding

Have any of you replaced the windshield clip on moulding with black rubber moulding? I’d like to delete all the aluminum trim mouldings but do not know what to buy.

    El Camino SS

Thank you so much. I am aware that the SS package is cosmetic rather than performance based. I’m not that impressed by decals n stripes. Thanks again.

    El Camino SS

Just wondering about a mid 80’s SS that a friend has for sale. I know the car (way over priced) and it’s faults (hidden from his sales pitch) and want to know if they have any value above and beyond a standard El Camino.

    Neglected 81 Vette

C2‘s are my favorite, had two. Bought a couple of C3’s new. Just sold a C5 last year. If I could find a 65-67 C2 at a realistic price I’d buy it. Prices of C3’s are on the rise. Good luck with your 81 they are great cars.

Colonnade chassis, better than a G?

I bought a Monte Carlo new in 73. I liked the super long hood. Hated the front bumper, kinda reminded me of the water filled NY taxi bumpers of the same era. Handling was typical for a heavy, family sedan of the mid 70’s. It wallowed and bounced down the road. My friends would borrow it for...

    Vermont titling

Isn’t that what people are doing, “washing titles”, by using loop holes in the Vermont statutes to obtain a title to a vehicle that doesn’t have one? My original post was an attempt to discourage going the Vermont route. Instead, it suggested trying a more “honest” approach of purchasing...

    Vermont titling

Here is one state, Florida, that has documented their mistrust of Vermont titles. FLHSMV site has issued the following bulletin: Information Notice (INFO) INFO22-011.

    Vermont titling

If you haven’t bought the junk yard G body you might want to reconsider the purchase. There is a reason many states will not recognize Vermont titles. Trying to take the cheap way out by buying a car from the junk yard does not work. Be patient and watch the classified ads on Craigslist, FB...
