    LED dash conversion

Time to get rid of those dingy 194's. Couple questions for those who've done it: 1. How many bulbs do I need. Not doing dome, footwells, etc., just dash. Gauges, hvac controller, etc. 2. Where did you get them from? Not looking to change colors, I'd like to keep it stock looking, just...

Thanks for the replies. Been looking all over for the individual part and here it's been part of an assembly. Good to know

HELP! Need to find the brass horn contact replacement

I managed to cut, roll, and bore a section of copper pipe to fit. I'm hoping that with some polishing to de-burr it it won't destroy the plastic sleeve or the cam ring. Not the best solution, but if nobody knows of where to get replacement parts it might have to suffice???

HELP! Need to find the brass horn contact replacement

The brass on the inner contact is worn down so far that it won't reach the ring on the cam anymore. They make replacements for the other side that attaches to the steering wheel pad but I can't find a replacement for this one. Anyone else dealt with this?

    Rear suspension bushing interchangeability

Trying to replace my sacked out rear control arm bushings. Are all 8 the same size/part? Want to stick with rubber and not poly so the Energy Suspension kits aren't an option. Moog has 2 packs, pn K6178, if they're all the same I can just order 4 sets and be good to go. Anyone know for sure?

Going to make the switch to LED for my gauge assy (sweeper style), and the climate control. Anyone know how many bulbs it takes?

Sorry for the delayed response. Got logged out and didn't recieved notifications. No change between accel/decel. I have a low mileage box coming up from Nebraska from a good donor. Cheaper gamble than a $600-$900 new box. We'll see if it makes a difference

Already done all of that. Backed it way off. Test drove. Tightened it increments at a time, test driving after each adjustment until the mesh was so tight it started to dart when you turned the wheel. Seems like there's no sweet spot in between.

That was one of the reasons I had our mechanic check the alignment. I figured maybe there wasn't enough caster in it because It does not return to center on it's own,

Newish ball joints. C.a. bushings are soft but not shot

Had it out 2 years ago and to my recollection everything was in pretty good shape. No corrosion in the front end of the car, bolts looked good

Can't tell you the alignment specs. I work at a major repair shop and was with our mechanic while he checked everything out. Everything met o.e. specs when he was done. We have narrowed it down to the gear assy. It's just a matter of figuring out what will fit and with what adaptors

The nice thing is, I have two cars at my disposal for "comparison". My neighbor has a stock '78 Camino, and my son has a stock '78 Cutlass Calais. Both of these drive like a 70's era car should drive. Mine wanders from stripe to stripe and when I turn the wheel, nothing happens until I turn a...
