    Transmission help for old guy

Not sure which 700 or th400 you are using but every 400 and 4l80e I've come on has a 32 spline out put and the 700 has a 27 spline like a th350 and 2004r. As far as the 700r4/4l60e goes that low gear is nice for pulling trailers in a truck but for a car that you want acceleration the jump from...

    CUTLASS TH200 shifting issues

Sounds like you are running out of fuel. Fuel filter new? what about the filter at the carb inlet? might need a gauge on it taped to the windshield to see if the pressure is steady as you make these attempts.

    Trans filter addition

Why? Unless you have kids dumping stuff/debris in the fill tube I can"t see the need. Change the fluid and filter more often and you should be fine. If you are overheating the fluid and torching clutches the fluid will "wearout" way faster than the internal filter will "get full"

    Th200c sticking converter

Drop the pan, and you will see the solenoid. Two 10mm bolts hold it from the factory I believe, and it is generally wired through the third gear switch in the vb. Definitely an easy to swap item. No need to pull the pump or vb.

    Updated to hydroboost.

Hydroboost booster looks like the one that came on 1984 and early 85 Turbo Regals. Or at least that is what I put on mine. Works great.

    700r4 Transmission Issues

Everything is fixable, though the costs can get steep on bigger probs. Sounds like a pump prob. As it warms the fluid thins and cant apply the clutches. Do you have the correct amount of fluid in it? Checked when warmed up and idling?

    Scanmaster problem

You state, "no way it is the power" and go on to tell of things that worked until you cut and removed wiring under the dash. This seems to be a problem as you state the dash worked prior to the removal. You need a meter and wiring diagram and start checking things for power. If it doesn't...

Is anyone else shocked/not shocked or confused about the current G body market and prices

As with any generation, the guys/people with the money driving the prices buy what they like. This is usually the stuff they remember from their youth. The eighties are that time frame, these individuals are generating the income and spending it on this time frame of vehicles. They aren't...

    turbo 350 stator rings

If you have a way to get them on and sized I don't think there is a down side to the solid teflon rings. Scarf cut I shy away from. I used a funel to stretch em out and some pieces I cut out of a plastic two liter drink bottle and hose clamp to size em

    6l80 in a regal

Did he say what goes wrong with the converter? I'm guessing the clutch for the lockup wears out. With that pwm the clutch sure gets slipped a lot.

    TURBO REGAL CHINESE HEADERS?

They might be good at manufacturing and reverse engineering, they(the pacific rim inhabitants) have little imagination. They cant come up with anything original. But hey, as long as there isn't any intellectual property that isn't a problem.

    TURBO REGAL CHINESE HEADERS?

While those companies might make their parts here in the us, I don't see many parts for the Buick v6 in their offerings. Most of their stuff goes on a ls, sbc, bbc or ford. The only place to get the Buick specific stuff is TA performance(though Kenny Betts is causing some rumblings with their...

    Still Having Brake Issues

I always have a nice clean piece of wood for under the pedal. My "helpers" are usually not real drivers but will help. Having them push the pedal to the block and tell me "down" and they hold it there. then I close the bleeder and when closed say "up". and they let the pedal return up and say...
