Problem I see w/ the poll is it is undefined as in what defines "Best"?

From a performance only standpoint it is the GNX as the only possible answer, followed closely by GN and every cold air Turbo Regal.
From a styling only standpoint it would be the Hurst Olds followed by 82 Designer series Turbo Regal then 84 GN
Beyond that it falls to personal preference, because what one person likes about a car someone else will equally hate with every opinion in between.

Your post its self can be considered an opinion. ;) But yea I think this is an opinion type poll where we can make our own definitions of "best". Some models give others take. One mans trash is another m...you get the point.

The best G body would be the ones built before 1978. The pre 78s were built with better steel, stronger frames, and more body bracing than the post 78s. After 78s GM cut so many corners on G bodies.

The Turbo Buicks may have had the most powerful factory drivetrains, but they also had the poorest body construction due to all the missing body bushings and bracing to give them a softer ride. The irony being the most powerful cars require the most reinforcing, but the TBs the ones with the least reinforcement, which is why TBs are so prone to getting stress cracks.

If it's for performance the turbo buicks are better. Then everything else equally. The SS, olds, gp, and le mans which seems to be the forgotten gbody the most, offered their own take on styling . The elky offered the utility of the truck. But I am biased for my malibu in the looks departments. It's simple and I love it.

I like the Malibu as well, like the Pontiac Grand Am there was no B pillar from the top of the door to the roof making the car cleaner and looking alot lighter
