Just wanted to share this little test of mine, when I got back my '87 El Camino from the shop.
New engine, transmission and exhaust make just all the difference in the world. It's like new car now!

Sweet! Many people put them down and say they're junk, but I'm a huge fan of the LT1/LT4's. Great motors even in stock form

I think the optispark mainly got them that reputation. But I don't have a problem with those motors either

It's funny you mention that, the Opti just went out on the Roadie last week, we're replacing it with the MSD one this weekend

Yeah, I had to replace Opti as well... :-/ What's that MSD replacement that you used RussRocket. Is it more reliable?

I chose '93 LT1 motor out of Camaro, because... it was available.
Unfortunately, here in Europe, we are not blessed with LSX motors on demand. They are quite scarce and a bit pricey to be honest.

I think we got the spline-drive one(Dad ordered it), but it's one of these from Jegs. The ozone is drawn out through the intake instead of the vent holes, so from what we can tell it's more reliable. We replaced the Opti last year with some cheap chinese one and it's only lasted that long. From what we hear, it it more reliable and lasts longer.

My 92 Vette had 122K on the ORIGINAL Optispark when I sold it. Shoulda kept it for a donor car....
