Hi all. I currently own an 86 Monte Carlo SS. It is in the middle of the build. I have had it about a year and a half. It is ready to go of to body work soon. 406 is built and ready to go in after that. In the meantime, I have been looking for another Gbody as a daily driver to and from work, to replace the 2000 mercury i drive now. I came across a guy selling an 85 Grand Prix with a rust free body. The GP has no engine and trans. I was going to bolt in the 305 and 200r4 trans out of the ss, and get it running. THe question i have is wheredo i get parts for this particular car? There are specific sites on the Monte carlos, but i find none on the GP as far as interior parts, ect. ANy help with this would be great. If i cant find parts, i will just pass on the car. dont need another project anyways, was just looking! THanks for the help guys.

Most but not all parts are interchangeable in typical gm fashion i think the only vehicle specific parts are the sail panels interior wise

Nope, I tried using GP lower door panels on my Cutlass once a long time ago, they'll hit the dash if you try. Count on ALL the interior being specific to that model.
There are more savvy GP guys on here, but as far as I know, pretty much the best availabilty of MOST GP interior parts is going to be thru your local wrecker or a parts car. Guys, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

So if you reverse it you could put the cutlass panels in a grand prix ,and since the grand prix dash swap is so popular ,I'd think there should be plenty of info on door panels that fit. So far ive gotten alot of my interior pieces from a monte carlo. Also I've read else where on the site that the rear quarter glass holes in the panels are shaped differently and thats why the sail panels dont fit.Although personally i am currently having trouble finding lower door panels that look like mine
