New to site, latest project is dropping my 468 Pontiac motor into a gorgeous 1980 Grand Am. Need help with what transmission will fit and the best way to secure frame twist as it has a factory moon roof.
Thanks

Hello and welcome Wisconsin. That appears to be a great looking Grand Am.
The "G-body twist" is a very common issue and sucessful counter measures have been tested and well documented. Many believe it starts with the rear end. Of course, frame mounts and mounting locations play a big part. I myself think a boxed frame with re enforcements help quite a bit. And of course, bracing, bracing, bracing. Im not sure what factory bracing a Grand Am comes with but I bet you could use some more. And, a roll cage helps stiffen things up quite a bit too.
Im sure others will add more. Let me/us know if you would like more specific info on the bracing.
Check out "G body F41 parts" in the for sale section.

Welcome from outside of Syracuse. May I say, that's an awesome Grand Am - you rarely see them!
