so right now i have a 750 vacuum secondary holley i honestly dont care for the way this carb performs. I was told by a friend to to try a double pumper he said i would notice a big diff from the vac sec. what do you guys recommend.

Here my combo im running
Stock Lq4 with 317 heads
Msd 6010 box
Victor jr single plane intake
Holley 3310 750 vac sec
1 3/4" longtubes
2.5" exhaust duals
Th400 with 3000 stall
3.73 gears

I do plan on do n a cam swap and ls6 heads here real soon

NorthWestRider, swap the secondary diaphragm spring for a lighter one! The secondaries will open sooner, keep going lighter until you're happy or get a bog! A double pump 750 offers little advantage if any, the secondaries just open with your right foot command in stead of vacuum. So just tune the vacuum diaphragm. OK so ya get more gas with the secondary accelerator pump too, but often that leads to an over rich condition going to full on. Just try a spring kit first, their cheap & make a world of difference. And if that doesn't do it for ya then buy the mech -double pump carb. Good luck, Ol'e Bob.

save your money and go EFI. Otherwise, to me the double pumper alone isn't "better" than your current carb....the only thing that matters, well one thing that matters more, is tuning, as the poster said above.

If you don't like how a carb is operating, then don't swap it - tune it. I say that assuming that the carb is in tuneable condition. If your current carb is 3310, then you won't find a better and easier Holley carb to tune.

With that in mind, I'd install EFI as I hope to never again to own anything with a Holley or carb for that matter.

X3 ^^^ Put the factory truck intake back on it and buy a salvage yard ECM and harness to mod. You will likely break even after selling off the old tech carburetor parts.
