22s are not big lol. Keep up the good work homie.
Thanks SoFloG but, to some ppl 22's are big lol. Big to me is 26 on up! I don't think every car needs 30 inches but for some they add that special touch! Just like I think every car doesn't need chrome. I see some cars that went chrome crazy, but that's their money, and their project. I keep my opinions to myself, and support the movement, for the love of this lifestyle!

I have a question about upgrading the steering on my 88 Cutlass. I may be buying a jeep steering shat that will bolt directly to my stock steering shaft. Would the stock gear box need to be upgraded also, or is that a waste of time doing so? Seems to me to be the right thing to do tho?

Depends on how you want the steering to feel. If you put the Monte SS/GN/442 gearbox in it the steering will be much quicker (fast ratio box - fewer turns lock to lock) and will feel a little heavier. It's what I put on my car. I want the sporty feel. You can get an A-1 remanufactured box from Summit for abou $100 shipped.

Thanks Texas that's the info I was looking for. My steering now isn't bad but if I can get an upgrade, then I'm all for that. So the A1, along with the other 3 boxes that you mentioned, would probably be better with the rims and the height of my ride.

Took "The Cutty" to the alignment shop to have the coil springs installed. I was there at 9 am on the dot, and excited. I figured it should be ready by 12pm, maybe 2pm, at the most. I got a phone call around 4:30 telling me, it will be tomorrow before they get to my car. What a disappointment that was. Well easy does it, I suppose, but hopefully tomorrow I can post some pics with the new springs.

OK so the shop finally got around to The Cutty. Long story short, my springs are not bad, in fact they have been replaced. So, I will return the ones I've ordered, and purchase new parts with that $. This did come in today
