Well looking at that video, SRT8 vs Vette somthing went wrong with that jeep. It should of spanked that Vette off the line and at the end. How do i know i have one, 07 since new. Mine is still stock and run 13.0 to 13.1 all day at the track not bad for a heavy brick. I won more races on the track and street and those cars had more power than my jeep. You can have 1000 hp under the hood but you need to put to the ground with very little wheel spin if not what good is having all that power. Thats whats great about the Jeep SRT8 no wheel spin and all the power to the ground and takes off like a rocket. Not starting a pissing contest just giving facts. I do still have my 84 Hurst/Olds.
Something I always forget, since I only have one vehicle with it, is traction control. Could they have left it on? That would slow it down, maybe they don't know the key trick and just turned off the button?

Bandimere is 5,800 ft in altitude. Traction control won't slow down a naturally aspirated, AWD car by a second, but 7% thinner air will.

I would think that is more than just traction control. Cluelessness and bad driving probably came into play, there, also. They also put 4 cylinders ecotechs in new camaro's and with the autos, they are not very fast stock.

Like back in the early 1990's there was a guy at the track with a "400 HP" 1979 Camaro running 10.3's in the 1/8th. He took off the hood and his shirt because the car was "too Heavy". He had no explanation why my 100% stock, every option, 200hp 1986 Mustang convert was running 9.4's cruising with the top down other than "I must have done something to it", but he still held fast to the claim that his hoodless camaro made 400 Hp.

It had nothing to do with traction control or the air. He was manualy shifting it and went from first to third or forth. I see it all the time at the track and they wonder why there times are all over the place just leave it in D your not going to shift faster than the computer. If you look at the video again you see the jeep fall flat when the vette passes him. Thats a missed shift

An SRT8 Jeep is not going to run 103 mph at Bandimere "missing a shift". Have you ever driven a Normally aspirated car at 5,800 ft altitude?
