well I got the motor and trans in tonight and everything is bolted up.

still have alot to do as far as running the rest of the fuel lines, wire for FP, regulator, plumbing for the carb itself, starter, battery, test fitting the headers, radiator etc; etc; but it feels nice to have the motor in

That's an awesome feeling when it finally gets set in and bolted down. Keep hammering away and that monte will be cruising soon, we are rooting for ya!

so the Texas speed f-body 4th gen - 1-7/8 long tube headers fit, tight fit but fit... only issue I am really seeing right now is that the driver side shifter linkage for the column shifter is touching it but the shifter seems to work (car isnt running yet but feels like it is moving)

its amazing the little things you forget and are hard to find...

starter bolts
header bolts
hose and line fittings and such

so now that I am getting down to the final steps of this car.

I have a majority of the factory harness still in the car... which of those wires is a nice switched 12v for my FP relay, the MSD box and such

The heavy gauge pink wire that was connected to the distributor was hot to the coil. I think your MSD box will want +12V feed directly from the battery but that pink wire is a pretty decent gauge so it should be fine to be a trigger wire for the MSD box and fuel pump relay.
