Hello everyone, new user here. I guess a little bit about me and why I am here...well I have a 1984 Monte Carlo SS that I have had since HS...so that has been about a decade. About midway through last year I happened upon 454bbc while doing a job for an older gentleman, he was planning on putting into an older Chevelle. He had acquired the engine from the from the original owner who had the motor put together by a well known local shop. As life goes, both of the previous owners plans had changed and motor was passed along. The current owner had been sitting on it for several years and was willing to let it go for a song, was complete from oil pan to air cleaner...I couldn't resist. I usually have some time off from work in the winter, so I started getting my hands dirty with this project and figured it was time to join a knowledgeable community in case any difficulties presented themselves. I have found this place to be a great resource and look forward to being a part of this community going forward.
