83-84 hurst/olds; 81--88 cutlass. 85 cutlass was my 1st car, love the body style and learned them pretty well. Then the hurst is the top dog of the oldsmobile cutlass world ;) the hurst pkg really set the cars off IMO

Do you guys know if these actually sell? http://gatewayclassiccars.com/carlist2?src=1&make=Buick the cheapest regal they have is 10000$

It would take $20K to buy my 100K mile T-type and 5-10 years from now it will likely take $30K.

Between my dad and I we've had at least 25 restored "classic" muscle cars and none were as quick as easy as a Turbo Regal. Not even close. 12.20's @ 111mph with a 100% stock longblock, through the stock turbo, stock intercooler and the stock injectors on radials. A stock TR will kick the crap out of EVERY street legal, stock, non Superstock musclecar of the musclecar era. Only the factory race cars were faster. And it does this with A/C, options and gets 23 mpg on the highway cruising at 75 mph.

In the early 2000's, when I saw people paying $20K for 100K mile, "restored" '65 Mustang coupes (and other cars that were $2,500 in the same condition when I was in high school back in the 80's) when 25K mile GN's were only $12K, I bought a $12K 25K mile GN (and sold it a few years ago for $22K).

I bought '70-71Cuda's when they were $5-7K and sold them for 3X-5X what I paid for them and if I would have held out a few more years could have got 10X what I had in them. 86-87 Turbo regals are a similar relatively low production/high performance car that really had only two good years.

If NASCAR had not allowed the FWD bodies compete in 1986 and GM had to make '87' and '88 2+2's it would have been cool if they went into the parts bin and made an actual performance model:

With a 150 hp single exhaust 305 and 3.08 rear gears it is very hard for a 2+2 to be anyone's favorite G-body
